DJ Lag (real name Lwazi Asanda Gwala) is a South African DJ and producer from the Clermont township of Durban, regarded as one of the pioneers of gqom, an electronic dance genre that emerged in Durban in the early 2010s. He has toured internationally (Glastonbury, Dekmantel, Ultra) and contributed to Beyoncé's 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift.
